so this was part of an architecture/psychology class about phenomenology in space...but the outcome was essentially a daylighting model that includes some instance of caustics on the wall surface...

wow amazing! the detail is amazing. the only thing i wish was if you chose a more creative way to bring in the light. isnt that the point of a light study? is the light on the ceiling supposed to be natural or artificial? anyways still gets a fav from me cuz the detail is great.

yeah...it is a box about 2 feet wide...made out of poplar of all things...and a little bit of marble of course...bought from Home Depot in the form of a floor tile...

Thanks...the idea was to create a nice place for a waiting room...as the installation point for the phenomenon of caustics...

yeah...the idea was that it was supposed to simulate a standard space...to see what you could do with standard openings etc. but I pushed a little further...the lighting on top is from an opening (i.e. a skylight) and then bounced off that wooden piece that runs down the center of the room
